Position Summary
As an HVAC Service Technician at Air Force Mechanical, you’ll be the front line of our customer service and technical operations. You’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in accurate troubleshooting, clean workmanship, and exceptional customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and other HVAC equipment

Diagnose issues accurately and recommend cost-effective repair or replacement options

Respond to emergency service calls and ensure timely resolutions

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Educate customers on system performance and best practices

Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety standards

Maintain clean and organized work vehicles and job sites
Qualifications

2+ years of HVAC service experience preferred

EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and refrigerant handling

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and in varying weather conditions
